Proton Mail forwarding setup

Use a paid Proton Mail plan and a focused filter to forward selected newsletters into Muno Brief.

Important

Forwarding is not available on every Proton Mail plan, so confirm that before troubleshooting the rule itself.

We recommend completing forwarding and rule setup on desktop. Some providers do not expose these controls in their mobile apps.

1. Confirm plan support first

  1. Verify your Proton Mail plan includes forwarding support.
  2. Open Settings, then Filters.
  3. Create the forwarding filter from there.

2. Build the first filter

  1. Click Add Filter.
  2. Name it something obvious such as "Muno Brief".
  3. Add a narrow condition like "Sender contains" or "Subject contains".
  4. Enable Forward to and enter your Muno Brief forwarding address.
  5. Save the filter and monitor the next matching newsletter issue.

Strong first filters

  • Choose a sender you can test within a day or two.
  • Do not build a catch-all rule first.
  • If you rely on subject matching, use the newsletter title rather than a broad topic term.

Notes

  • If forwarding options are missing entirely, the account plan is the first thing to check.
  • Proton Mail settings copy can vary slightly across product revisions, but the filter flow stays similar.
